Miranda Hart’s new audiobook ‘I haven’t been entirely honest with you’ is filled with empowering lessons she calls ‘treasures’ on how to live life filled with joy despite challenges like chronic illness. Miranda developed ME/CFS from Lyme Disease and this brought her to deeply dive into the wisdom of the ‘ists’ – therapists, psychologists, neuroscientists etc. What she discovered was coping techniques to live your best life, no matter your circumstances.
I’ve had severe Fibromyalgia and ME/CFS for 35 years and I have been on a similar journey, especially over the past 6 years. After going into a cave and facing the darkness head on and studying the ists, I, too, am now living with joy and peace beyond understanding that I never expected, despite remaining housebound and often bedbound.
I chose to draw Miranda ‘Such Fun’ the week before the book was announced. I made a Tshirt from it that I proudly wear everywhere! It’s so exciting the book’s finally here, and it lives up to expectations and even more. I listened to all ten hours in the first three days it was out!
Miranda’s book is a laugh out loud, approachable, powerful summary of all the lessons I have learned and I recommend it for absolutely everyone, especially those struggling with the profound challenges of chronic illness – my heart goes out to you all. It’s wisdom and joy that the world so needs right now, and is all tied in with a beautiful love story. Congratulations and thank you, Miranda!
The book comes out on paperback on Oct 29.
