Exciting news! Tomorrow is the opening of my ‘Rainbow Bubbles of Collective Effervescence’ portrait display at Montville Reflection Gallery, starting Saturday 4th Oct and running until Saturday 29th Nov 2025!
My display is of 60 original portraits and artworks by Shiloh Moore, including this self portrait of me as a joyous 4-year-old, ‘Lollygobbleblissbomb’. The portraits celebrate connection with famous peeps I love and respect, who I have drawn and most I have written to – artists, musicians, authors, faith leaders, politicians, my favourite neuroscientist… Many have written back! Amazing!
When I am bedridden, exhausted and in pain, I feel all these people with me, holding me in ‘collective effervescence’ as I wholeheartedly rest (rest with no sensory stimulus). I draw them in rainbow bubbles, rainbow colours symbolising hope after the storm. I think of my friends, family, favourite famous people alive today and throughout history, ancestors and future generations, and imagine being out in the world with them. I send them love and infinite light, and hold them with me, always. I am never alone.
