Sam Buckingham – April 2026

A portrait of Australian singer/songwriter Sam Buckingham done in Shiloh Moore’s ‘Rainbow Bubbles of Collective Effervescence’ ByShi style of rainbow portraiture. Sam Buckingham is gazing directly at the viewer and smiling joyously. She is wearing hoop earrings, glasses and a necklace with the word POWER on it. Underneath the portrait are the words: By Shiloh Moore 2026 @byshi.art www.byshi.hogfish.net

Sam Buckingham is an Aussie singer/songwriter I have known for several years through our mutual friend Emma Dean. She has a wonderful new album out called Beautiful Machine. I love the vibrant cover art – Sam drew it herself. My fave songs on the album are ‘Achilles’ Heel’ and ‘Shoulda Coulda Woulda’ and I’ve had the album on repeat. ‘Something More’ from her previous album Dear John was one of my fave songs in recent years. Female empowerment: yes! The album is about finding her voice after domestic violence. I’m mentioned in the liner notes of Dear John because I followed her on Patreon when it was made! I drew Sam in my Rainbow Bubbles of Collective Effervescence Original ByShi Portrait style to support her as a fantastic independent artist. Check her out! You can buy a CD of Dear John for free on her website.
